The Three Wishes Faery Festival is one of Cornwall's most iconic events. Held every year at Mount Edgcumbe House and Country Park near Torpoint, in East Cornwall, the three-day event is a celebration of the folklore and beliefs surrounding fairies and similar “little people”.

The event features stalls, music and other chances to join in. These include the opportunity to delve into the world of fairies, meet unicorns, and attend a “fairy school”, which has activities for children.

The most striking feature of the entire festival is the large array of costumes. Nearly everyone taking part dresses like a fairy (spelt ‘faery’ in this case, which is the older spelling). A world record attempt is sometimes held during the festival, when people try to break the record for the largest number of people dressed as a fairy in one place.
