A different Cornish town every year

The Old Cornwall Societies are one of Cornish culture’s most important groups. Since they were first founded in the 1920s, they have had a vital role in preserving all things Cornish. The Old Cornwall Societies meet every winter in a Cornish town, with the place changing each year.

The festival includes displays from other Cornish organisations, which provide information about current activities in the world of Cornish culture. There is also a programme of Cornish entertainment and speeches from local leaders like town mayors and the Grand Bard of Gorsedh Kernow, another important Cornish culture organisation. There is a similar festival held by the Federation of Old Cornwall Societies in the summer, which also moves to a new location every year.
